DUMEZIL GEORGES
Myths and Epic Poems is the result of Georges Dumezil's comparative studies, divided in three volumes. The book narrates the common idiosyncrasy, theology, and mythology of the Indo-Iranian, Greek, Latin, German, and Celtic people, showing the trifunctional hypothesis (the sacred, physical force, and abundance)present in the common cultural scheme of the people which is, according to Dumezil, the Indo-European culture. The study's primary results were: establish the way in which said cultures fell into the same mythological corpus, contributing to the tortuous knowledge of ancient population's stories.
